Notables: Silhouettes

While working on tomorrow's Color Inspiration, I began to fall in love with using silhouettes as a wedding motif. It's a different way to personalize so many elements of your wedding, and a great replacement for a signature monogram if that's not your style. Have silhouettes of the two of you sketched and put them on your invitations, place cards, cake or even cufflinks!

Another way to utilize this classic, fun idea is to hire a silhouette artist to attend your cocktail hour. They simply look at your guest's profile and, on the spot, cut out a silhouette of them from paper. It's a great favor and makes for excellent entertainment at a sophisticated wedding. You can also find vintage silhouettes (like this one from Etsy) and use them in your decor.
