Color Inspiration: A Country Western Wedding

My new found love for country music has spurred a new found love for cowboy boots, line dancing.. well, you get the point. And for those of you die hard country fans out there, there's nothing wrong with a boot scootin' boogie kinda wedding! I've suggested cowboy boots as wedding shoe-wear many a time, and this is certainly an appropriate one. Cover bails of hay in burlap for ceremony seating and use wildflowers for your bouquets. Of course, a reception in a barn is perfecto, and wouldn't it be a dream to have a country band to serenade you? Mason jars for drinks too, don't forget! And, if you want to take the country feel to it's highest level, choose horseshoes for place cards or cowboy hats for favors (fun!). Too much for your big day? Have an all-western rehearsal dinner instead!

Color Inspiration: A Rehearsal Dinner Picnic

There's never very much rehearsal dinner love on wedding blogs so today's post, while it could most certainly work for a wedding, is ideal for a casual, outdoor rehearsal dinner picnic! I told you yesterday that I fell in love with these screen-printed place mats so they were the inspiration for today! I love the idea of stacking a bunch of crates or picnic baskets and filling them with everything you'd need for the perfect picnic! Place mats, wooden utensils, drinkware, the works! A few tables and benches, maybe some simple garlands or strands of lights and a fan to keep everyone cool. The perfect time to relax and enjoy your company, before the {often} hectic day-of!

Etsy Wedding: Lemon & Hot Pink with Hints of Pistachio & Hazelnut

Can you handle all those foodie colors in one? Guess I have food on the brain this week, first salmon & eggplant and now a little fun with lemony yellow! Pair that color with a bright, bright pink for quite the eye-popping summer palette. I've toned it down with subtle nods to pistachio and hazelnut hues... like in the flower girl dress and fab garland. Lemonade or lemon drops for drinks and yummy lollipops for dessert too! Have fun with prints for summer weddings and print your table numbers on printed paper, framed in hot pink frames. There's nothing wrong with grown-up streamers, especially as chair decor! Choose lemons or hot pink peonies (or both!) for your centerpieces and that's a wrap!

Etsy Wedding: A Country Brunch

I don't know about you, but brunch is without a doubt my favorite meal. Ever. In fact, I would only eat brunch (Ok, really breakfast but brunch makes it acceptable after noon) if I could. I know there's traditionally a day-after brunch during your wedding weekend, but I'm all about non-traditional here right? So why not a wedding brunch? Preferably set in the backyard of a quaint cottage for an intimate country affair.

For this country brunch, I suggest a palette of pretty purples and leafy greens with floral prints and wicker accents. Purple floral dresses for the 'maids and green accents for the men. A wicker basket for your rings and a fabulously textured bouquet.

Bring in more wicker baskets for your floral arrangements, which should be filled with all sorts of purple pretties (Think lilac, hydrangea.. delicate but impactful). I was inspired by this ribbon, featured in yesterday's post, and think it would be for accenting, well, everything. Choose benches that look like they came right of the front porch of a Southern mansion. And now for the food. How about a sophisticated cereal bar? Yes, I just said that. Think granola and other organic mixes and supplement with milk in wicker covered bottles and greek yogurt. A wide selection of tea, it even matches the palette, and of course brunch staples like pancakes and waffles with wonderful fresh made jams. Not to forget the lunch part, offer simple salads and light mid-day appropriate dishes.

Remember, the feeling here is casual, intimate and little bit country. But if you take the risk, it could be a fabulous daytime celebration complete with the comforts of your favorite morning treats.

Color Inspiration: Caramel, Taupe and Cream

I am SO excited to share my first Color Inspiration post with you all today! While I have a ton of color inspirations filled with pretty pastels and rich jewel tones, I couldn’t help but create this neutral palette for my first Tuesday post here at Notable Inspiration. This wedding concept is rich in texture with creams, taupes and caramel browns to complement. From the fabric bouquet by Milkpod Studio to the crocheted flower girl dresses, the bridal party at this celebration would remain casual, but chic. Rose and pearl accents for the bride and her maids and simple khaki suits, sans tie, for the men. And of course, my favorite, a ring bearer bowl by Paloma’s Nest to round out a natural wonderland.

The reception is where the textures in this palette really shine. A burlap runner flanked by the most fantastic grapewood arrangements by JL Designs. I absolutely adore the vintage, floral chandelier which would make a great statement over a cream hued dessert bar. Oh, and don’t forget the favors, delicately wrapped with DIY burlap and fabric flowers.

Color Inspiration Preview: Caramel, Taupe and Cream

Sibella Court (see below) served as my inspiration for the first Color Inspiration concept I'm going to share with you! I chose a neutral palette of cream, taupe and muted caramel and spiced it up with an abundance of rich textures like raw oak woods, painted branches, natural burlap and shimmering pearls.
