As Seen on Etsy: USB Typewriter

I was watching the Maker Faire episode of Martha Stewart yesterday and saw too many awesome inventors to count... and then I saw the inventor of the USB Typewriter. And I am still in awe. Jack Zylkin has turned those awesome vintage typewriters we see in so many wedding shoots lately, into totally function keyboards for your computer or iPad! I am head over heels for his idea of mixing two completely different generations into one awesome product. Holy cow! It is quite the splurge to buy an already converted typewriter, but he also offers converter kits if you or your beau are the DIY techy type! If you can afford to drop the time or cash, what an interesting guestbook this would make! The perfect compromise if you love your vintage finds and your fiance loves anything technological. Sound familiar, anyone?

As Seen On Etsy: Baby by Stevie

Notable's on color overload today with gingham, seersucker and damask ties galore! The best part? These ties are for the little ones in your wedding. Yep, Baby by Stevie creates all these super fab, completely adorable accessories for those younger folk! I can't even handle the vibrant gingham, or that seersucker.. it is just too cute in miniature form! Of course, there are a ton of other prints to obsess over too... so head on over to their Etsy shop for more kid fashion!

As Seen On Etsy: Knock.Knocking

I am not usually one to like wreathes, but I saw these by Knock.Knocking and now I'm a changed girl! Not your traditional wreath, and certainly not a typical wedding item... I had to do a post on these as a great option for a shower gift or even a little something extra on the doors of your ceremony or reception site! I'm head over heels for the striped ones and the colors are almost too much for me to handle! They are just so fantastic! A little eye candy for your door!

As Seen On Etsy: LemonRing

I'm finally back! It's been quite the crazy two weeks in my life moving from Los Angeles back to the east coast but I am finally settling back down and ready to bring you all some more inspiration. PLUS I have some very exciting news that I'll be sharing with you all next week, so be sure to stay tuned! Anyway, what better a form of inspiration to start out with than these fantastic shoe clips by Etsy vendor LemonRing? All made of ultra-femme fabrics like chiffon and mesh, I bet you can find a color you like! I, of course, am in love with the nude color and that fantastic yellow... boy am I predictable huh? But they all make me want to fancy up my shoes a bit and they are all a great way to turn a comfortable (but not so pretty) wedding shoe into one you can walk in, and show off!

As Seen On Etsy: Kiki La Rue

It was love at first sight when I saw Kiki La Rue's cake bunting on Design*Sponge. Seriously, mini bunting atop a cake? It is too, too good to be true. For those who are eco-conscious, all the adorable bunting is made from vintage and recycled fabric, so there's another excuse to fall in love. How perfect for a bridal shower or a wedding dessert bar? I may need to throw a party just so I can buy these! Which one is your favorite?

As Seen On Etsy: Sweet Plume

Flower girl glam is the theme here today, everyone! Sweet Plume's sweet and sassy children's dresses are made with trimmings like feathers and fabrics like silk and tulle. They pump up that fashion factor for the little ones in your bridal party and there is certainly nothing wrong with that! I am personally a huge fan of their black and white styles (Geez, can you tell?) and on a non-wedding note, there's a cupcake costume in their Etsy shop that I could die for (What? It's never too early to prep for Halloween!).

As Seen On Etsy: The Gilded Bee

Today's post started out with me talking just about all those adorable paper flowers. I know what you're thinking... "Just those flowers... there's more?" Yep, there is. The Gilded Bee is more like a mini Etsy empire with a store overflowing with paper products that had me glued to my computer screen for hours. Let's start with the flowers... poppies and daisies to roses and dahlias... in any. color. you. want. Seriously, neutrals, pastels, vibrant hues, everything. Now the question is, what to do with them? Make an all paper bouquet, glue a pin on a bunch of poppies and use it as a boutonniere, or (if your having an intimate wedding) give each guest their own mini bouquet as a placecard turned favor.

{All Products and Images via The Gilded Bee's Etsy Shop}

Outside of the 160 flower options The Gilded Bee offers just as many varieties in other paper goodies, like cardstock buttons, tags and labels, butterflies and favor boxes. Now it's your turn to spend a few hours exploring... by clicking here.

As Seen On Etsy: Holly Stalder

Holly Stalder has fulfilled my "I love ruffles" quota for the week! Her gorgeous Etsy shop is full of fluttery fabrics, lovely layers and ruffles, ruffles everywhere. These dresses are perfect for a fun and flirty bride who doesn't want a gown that everyone else has, too. So many styles are easily translated into bridesmaid attire, and that backless black one (my personal favorite) would be a knock-out rehearsal dinner dress. If you already have your dress and are looking for that extra bit of pretty, be sure to check out the romantic shrugs too!

As Seen On Etsy: Sparkles Kitchen

Remember those delicious looking macarons from yesterday's wow-inducing color inspiration? Well, guess what... you can buy them on Etsy! Yep, Etsy's amazed me again... this time with Sparkles Kitchen who sells french macarons in flavors that I would kill for. Raspberry Cream Cheese or Sumiyaki Coffee anyone? Yeah, I thought so. So if you are loving the current macaron trend... now you know you can head on over to Etsy for some petite dessert goodness!

As Seen On Etsy: MonkiVintage

Last week I brought you pretty pretty letterpress and this week I'm bringing you... letterpress block letters? You heard right, the blocks used to make the letterpress style I so adore are actually quite fabulous on their own! MonkiVintage has an enormous selection of vintage letterpress blocks that can so easily be turned into stamps, and more! They sell them in sets of the same letter in multiple fonts, perfect for a fun way to display your initial(s) throughout your day! Stamp them on menu cards or stamp a different font on each page of your guest book. You could even provide an alphabet of blocks and have each guest stamp their initial on a large canvas, whatever which way they please and in whatever color they please, making a totally awesome art piece! I also love the blocks as decor all on their own. If you don't mind the letters being backwards, they would be so fantastically incorporated into your centerpieces! Buy a set of number letterpress blocks and use them to identify your tables too!

As Seen On Etsy: Rouge Press

Who can resist fantastic letterpress stationery? Well, Rouge Press has a little something from everyone! If you're a bride, check out their gift tags, for favors, and note cards, for thank you notes! My favorite are the macaron tags! Wedding vendors, Rouge Press has so many perfect letterpress business cards I could cry! And last but not least, wedding guests or just party goers alike, you can make use of the even-more-numerous enclosure cards, great for short and sweet notes to pair with any gift!

As Seen On Etsy: The Succulent Garden

I bet you didn't think you could find succulents on Etsy, well surprise, surprise! My favorite marketplace has done it again, with Etsy vendor, The Succulent Garden, who has the most fantastic succulent collection! Succulents make perfect potted centerpieces that you can keep long after you say "I do." One of my favorite ways to incorporate them, though, is to have a pot your own succulent station for favors! Provide a selection of these beautiful succulents and pots and allow guests to pick and choose as they please for a beautiful favor!

As Seen On Etsy: This Neck of the Woods

I saw one of these gorgeous garlands in an Etsy Finds email and just had to share all of the goodies This Neck of the Woods offers with you! These delicate garlands are perfect for weddings with pretty, vibrant color palettes and they're totally budget friendly too! Drape them along the pews or chairs at your ceremony, over the tables at your reception or around a cake table.  Mix and match the delicately cut shapes to add dimension too, these are some of my favorite garlands I've seen!

As Seen On Etsy: Alice's Looking Glass

Today's Etsy vendor is responsible for the fabity-fab (I can make up words right?) ticking stripe sachets from yesterday's love letter inspiration. And the greatness doesn't end there. Alice's Looking Glass's shop updates almost every day with the most exquisite vintage finds and handmade goodies. Everything from the most fantastic vases, goblets and dishes to vintage recipe cards and one of kind treasures like that napkin ring set and that b-eau-ti-ful pillow! Expect to see that tiny crown of perfection in tomorrow's post (and maybe a few other lovelies too!). What's your favorite item?

{All Products & Images from Alice's Looking Glass' Etsy Shop}

I could spend a whole day digging through the gorgeousness on Alice's Looking Glass and I bet a few of you could too!

Etsy Giveaway from City Light Photography!

Today is a very, very exciting day here on Notable Inspiration! It marks Notable's first giveaway, ever, and what a giveaway it is! If you remember, two weeks ago I featured an utterly fantastic Etsy vendor... Diana of City Light Photography, and lucky for you all she has offered to do a special giveaway of one of her fab inspirational photos here today! And if that isn't enough, I have a little interview with Diana to share with you too! After you check out the interview, be sure to scroll down to get all the details on how to enter the giveaway!

Can you tell me a bit about how your business got started?

My flickr contacts would ask for prints of my photos. A few people suggested opening up an Etsy shop. The support has been overwhelming. My family, friends and blog readers are a big part of the motivation.

Name your three favorite sources of inspiration.

Flickr, California and antique stores.

If you could pick one place/person/thing you would love to photograph but haven't yet, what would it be?

Place: I hope to take photos of Salvation Mountain. It's such a hidden treasure of California.

Person: Surprisingly, my mom. I want portraits of her but she's so camera shy.

Thing: I would love to capture Aurora Borealis.

What are five items you couldn't live without?

My MacBook for on the go, my iMac for at home, my polaroid, my Canon Power Shot (it's a point and shoot but I love how small it is) and my Kindle for constant reading.

Since I love using Etsy here on Notable, do you have any other favorite Etsy vendors?

Yes! I have a few. I love The Blue Balloon and Flapperdoodle. I also have a few tattooed pictures from Matouenpeluche.

Now, on to the giveaway details!

City Light Photography is offering one lucky reader a 5 x 7 print of a photo of their choice! In order to enter you must do the following:

1. You must follow Notable Inspiration on either Blogger, Twitter or Facebook, if you aren't already.

2.Visit City Light Photography's Etsy Shop and pick your favorite 5x7 print (I know, tough decision!)

3. Comment on this post (below!) with your choice, as well as your email address so I can contact you if you win!

4. That's it! You can enter up until Sunday, May 9th at 10pm EST and the winner will be announced Monday, May 10th!

City Light's photographs are unbelievable inspiration for a wedding concept (frame it with a large mat, too, and allow guests to sign it as a guest book!) Or, if you aren't getting married quite yet (or your theme is already set in stone!), they make a great piece to hang in your home!

And since, if you're like me, you probably just can't get enough of City Light Photography... so be sure to check out Diana's blog for more inspiring goodness! A special thanks to Diana for the giveaway and the interview! Good luck readers!

As Seen On Etsy: Vessels and Wares

The design blogs have been all a buzz over Vessels and Wares, an Etsy vendor who creates the most divine cake stands (and other goodies) and I just had to feature them today! This is pottery done right. Cute little cupcake stands and jaw dropping tiered cake stands! Sign. Me. Up. Plus they offer other beauties that are perfect for your home, post wedding, like hanging bowls, colanders and dessert plates! Items that work for your bridal shower, wedding AND home? I know, it's almost too good to be true!

As Seen On Etsy: City Light Photography

Well, today's Etsy vendor did my work for me. Talk about notable inspiration! City Light Photography has image after image that have color palettes, themes and feelings built right in. I can think of a gorgeous wedding for each and every image below. Several of these photos are available in notecard sets, perfect for favors! Or, buy a full size print as your inspiration and incorporate it into the background of a DIY'd photobooth for your guests. Purchase a few and gift them to your bridesmaids in a fab frame. So many options and never-ending inspiration. I think, I'm in love!

{All Photographs from City Light Photography's Etsy Shop}

Since I could really do weddings off of all of these (and hmm, I just might!), it was tough to pick one as my inspiration for tomorrow's Etsy affair. Finally, I decided to go off of the license plate snapshot- figured it's pretty fitting to continue the travel theme after yesterday's post! Check back tomorrow for the full scoop!

As Seen on Etsy: Sugar Plumb Tree

I've got a little something special for the flower girl (or girls) in your wedding today... SHOES! What better a fit after the shoe love on Monday's notables. I must warn you though, you may want to hurry up and buy these shoes before I buy every single pair to save for my children someday. Wedding or no wedding, these are just the cutest things ever. Sugar Plumb Tree creates this adorable footwear from eco-friendly cotton and felt, even better! And, she uses slip proof, durable microsuade for the bottoms, so you don't have to worry about the girls slipping and sliding down the aisle (or on the dance floor). The prints are just to die for and the little trims (I especially love the ruffles) are so girly and perfect. Wish they made them in my size...

{All Images and Products from Sugar Plumb Tree's Etsy Shop}

Be sure to check out Sugar Plumb Tree on Etsy to see the other darling accessories they offer! Hats, headbands and even a little something for the boys too!

As Seen on Etsy: Package In Style

Ribbon, oh ribbon. I could look at ribbon for hours, and I do sometimes on my frequent trips to Michaels. But I've found a new source for my addiction, and one that I know you will love too: Package In Style. This Etsy vendor has an adorable selection of vintage ribbon and some really cute beaded twine (and more!). Ribbon can be used in so many aspects of a wedding: from tying up the favors to embellishing the tables and chairs, and even hanging from above. It can hold your place cards or be the background of your photo booth. Package In Style may have just what you need to wrap up your wedding and tie it with a bow!

As Seen On Etsy: Green Post

A little eco-friendly goodness for you today from Etsy! I've used a few of this vendors items before and, per my usual pattern, decided it was time for a full feature! DC's getting greener (you now have to pay for plastic bags at food stores) and I'm trying to as well! Green Post is an awesome Etsy vendor that makes plantable tags and upcycled (Definition: recycled for a new purpose) magnets. I'm madly in love with the tags. They would be so great for place cards turned favors that your guests can plant post-wedding. Those number tags, can you say table numbers? The magnets are fab favors too and they are made in the coolest way! Green Post takes bills, receipts and other junk paper and upcycles them to make these adorable little magnets. Pretty amazing, huh? Check it out, fall in love, and most importantly, be green!

{All Products and Images from Green Post's Etsy Shop}

Be sure to visit Green Post's Etsy shop to see all the goodies they offer!
